Life and Death

Today was my annual visit to the ancestor's burial grounds to scrub the accumulation of winter moss off the stones and brighten the graves with cheerful red and purple tulips. There is such a peace driving through the country side seeing trees blossoming, flowers blooming, sun shining, and everything coming alive as I make my way toward a destination filled with physical reminders of mortality. Life is short. Death is forever. Love the dichotomy.

And I really, really love the entrance to the cemetery!
